Aim |

Aim |
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the theoretical aspects of international business environment analysis and internationalization of enterprises. The ability to apply the theories will be developed through practical tasks: to collect information about the current international business environment and interpret the collected data necessary for the decision-making of the internationalization of a specific company / product is being developed. |

Students perform in crisis situations, reflection in the media, corporate communication strategy development, Lithuanian and foreign organizations, websites, annual reports, analysis of the ethics of law analysis. A special focus is placed on understanding how globalisation effects international environment, what risks are impacting private or public sector organisations and how they respond to crisis. Public Diplomacy and Persuasion (5 ECTS)

Aim |
The course gives the overview of the Public diplomacy as means for foreign policy implementation; it also aims to develop students‘understanding and ability to analyse how current means of communication influence the traditional diplomacy and determines foreign policy methods; whether and how the public diplomacy is employed by governments to achieve their foreign policy goals. Public diplomacy is a strategic long-term dialogue with the foreign audience; it’s the effort of one government to inform and influence the foreign society with the aim to gain its support. The course will focus on cases of Lithuanian as well as other countries’ public diplomacy practice aiming to establish factors determining the success as well as failures of the public diplomacy execution. |

Elective Courses
Discrimination, Violence and Human Rights (5 ECTS)

Aim | During the course students will be introduced to the fundamental principles of gender based non-discrimination that define equality between men and women in all spheres of life. Students shall also review the historic development of international and regional instruments of implementation of women’s human rights. They will analyse individual cases of gender based discrimination and violence assess them in the context of universal human rights. During the course, sexual and reproductive health policies and their impact on women lives will also be presented. During the course will be introduce the practices of the European Court of Human Rights, the United Nations Committee for the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) and the Optional Protocol to the UN CEDAW Convention. The importance of ensuring women's rights in times of conflict and post-conflict situations will be also discussed, as will cases when sexual violence becomes a weapon of war. |
