On 24-26th of March, Jean-Charles Lamirel, a researcher at the LORIA Research Institute and Professor at the University of Strasbourg, will deliver four open lectures at the Faculty of Communication on the application of artificial intelligence in communication and business and the principles of large language models.

  3. 25 March, 17:00 – “Principles and Evolution of Large Language Models (LLM)”. Room 208 (Saulėtekio al. 9, I b.).
  4. 26 March, 11:00 – “Principles of Learning in AI and a Panorama of General Applications of AI in Different Domain Including Business and Communication”. Room 205 (Saulėtekio al. 9, I b.).

Prof. Jean-Charles Lamirel specializes in text mining using neural networks. His main research topics include visualization methods for data analysis, evaluation of data analysis methods, social network analysis and big language models.

He teaches Artificial Intelligence and Information Science (including Library Science) at the University of Dalian and Computer Science at the University of Strasbourg. The data analysis models developed by the researcher are applied in data mining and scientometrics applications.

The lectures will be conducted in English.
