We are pleased to announce that Dr. Tadas Žižiūnas, Head of the 3D Digitisation and Digital Research Laboratory at the VU Faculty of Communication, has registered the European licence for the „Heritage Guard“ tool being developed by the Faculty. This marks a significant milestone in the history of the Faculty and enables the development of digital heritage preservation projects across Europe.
„This software will help to detect damage to cultural heritage in a timely, preventive and accurate way. This is essential for the effective protection of all our assets,“ says Dr. T. Žižiūnas.
This innovation is not only a major victory for the Faculty of Communication, but also a significant contribution to European efforts to safeguard cultural heritage.
