The Institute of Book Science and Documentation at Vilnius University Faculty of Communication holds the 22nd International Book Science Conference, which takes place at Vilnius University on 26–27 of September 2013. The conference “Traditional and electronic publishing in a small country: experiences and perspectives” explores the main issues of publishing history in a small country and the current situation.

Prof. Horatiu Dragomirescu is professor and Ph.D. promoter at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies in Romania. He was a visiting professor at the University of Warsaw, Poland (2013). He also taught Economics of Digital Information at the University of Haifa, Israel (2011), and the University of Minho, Portugal (2010 and 2011). He serves as associate editor of the International Journal of Electronic Democracy (Inderscience) and co-editor for Europe of the International Journal of Knowledge Society Research (IGI Global). He coordinated several research projects under the aegis of the Romanian Academy, focusing on information economics and knowledge society issues.
